Standard Fasel was established in the beginning of the nineteen sixties and originates from the process equipment and boiler construction departments of the Utrecht based Werkspoor company. Over the years the boilermaker “Ten Horn” in Veendam and the burner division of L. Tas & Co. from Amsterdam were added to the company.

Our company has distinguished itself worldwide over the years in the fields of new build, modification and repairs of industrial steam boilers in the energy petro-chemical industries. To date, Standard Fasel has supplied approximately 1100 installations all over the world. Amongst these are large water tube boilers (both direct fired as well as exhaust gas fired and a combination of both), Cylindrical steam and hot water boilers, waste heat boilers for petro-chemical industries, the so-called “Shell Gasification Units” (patented) and various types of industrial burner installations.

Standard Fasel continues to have excellent worldwide after sales connections serving our installed base. On a regular basis we supply spares, perform repairs, modifications, inspections and studies, and give advice to our customers on the previous topics.

Standard Fasel is a full service provider for steam and hot water boiler installations. At Standard Fasel we have two main departments to support our clients and customers. The project department which realises greenfield and brownfield projects either specifically based on client specifications or based on the extensive experience and knowledge of boiler installations. The service department supports our customers with periodic and corrective maintenance and repairs on both boiler and burner installations of all types and brands

Standard Fasel wishes to continue to distinguish itself as an innovative service provider in the areas where heat and steam generation are required. Steam is still an excellent medium to realise large thermal energy flows from one location to another. On the other hand the need for alternative sources and the diversity thereof is evolving rapidly. Standard Fasel is actively involved in the development of innovative concepts in this field. We intend to keep the legacy of James Watt alive for many years to come. The various alternative energy sources require different and sometimes very specific conversion techniques. Standard Fasel is actively involved in these developments.

Next to the delivery of new installations, Standard Fasel is also very active in the fields of management and maintenance of installations. Not at least in order to gain experience which is implemented in the design of new installations.

Continuation of these activities implies that we will come across alternative energy sources more frequently as time passes.
